* Friday, October 10, 5 p.m. is the last day to add/drop/change a class without a service fee of $3.00 and the last day to change grade option or variable units without the signature of your dean. Check with your academic counseling office for any overriding school policies.

* Orange County Performing Arts Center offers student rush tickets to all performances of the Kirov Ballet and Orchestra: October 7 - 12. - October 6, 2 p.m.: Dissertation Support Group - An interactive and supportive group designed to help graduate students overcome psychological barriers to making progress.

- October 6, 5 p.m.: "What's Going On?" - Issues important to the African American community. Meet at the Cross-Cultural Center.

- October 7, 2 p.m.: Tea and Chai - This group focuses on Asian American Women’s issues including family pressures, dating, sexuality and relationships, assertiveness, intergenerational conflicts, stereotypes, academic/career issues, and other relevant topics.

- October 7, 2 p.m.: Anxiety and Stress Management Group - The goal of this group is to help students increase awareness of their personal reactions to stressors, learn anxiety management techniques, practice breathing and relaxation exercises, and gain support from others.

- October 7, 3:30 p.m.: Estamos Unidas - A discussion group for Chicana/Latina students that address concerns in a university environment.

- October 8, 1:30 p.m.: Graduate Women’s Psychotherapy Group - This interactive, process-oriented group will address general personal concerns along with an emphasis on the special needs and issues of female graduate students.

- October 8, 3:30 p.m.: Student from Difficult Families - In this small, supportive group, members will talk about their own difficult families; how past familial experiences impact current relationships and how they can overcome the negative effects of their difficult families while embracing the positive aspects.

- October 9, 2:30 p.m.: Relationships Group - This group is for students who want to deepen their self understanding and to search for meaningful interpersonal relationships, find effective ways to connect and communicate with others, and also understand what may be getting in their way of achieving these goals.

- TBD.: LGBT Graduate Students - This group will explore issues such as relationships, academic life, and career.

- TBD.: Writers on the Storm: Sharing Voice - Join us and perform your own writing or the words of others that speak for you. After each reading, participants will discuss its relevance.

- TBD: Freedom Ring - If hurtful feelings and rigid interpersonal patterns reoccur in your life, this group might be right for you. Connect with others who may understand your journey.
